The annual Brisbane Harley Owners Group (HOG) Charity Ride set off early on the crisp clear morning of Sunday, May 25th for a thrilling days ride. With almost 150 riders and their pillions, who had each paid for the privilege of being on the back seat for the day, this year's ride was the biggest in it's history.
The pack turned heads as it rode down the Pacific Motorway in formation, heading for the Gold Coast Hinterland where the picturesque scenery and twisting, turning roads provided a little more fun for the trill seekers amongst the group.
Luxury yachts and cruisers moored on Calypso Bay provided an opulent backdrop for the lunch stop, set on the lawn of Harrigan's Irish Pub, but riders and pillions alike were keen to get back on the Harleys and continue the ride.
One highlight came close to the end of the day as the group rumbled it's way down Fortitude Valley's Wickham Street before reaching their destination, Harley Davidson dealership, Morgan and Wacker in Breakfast Creek. The day was a great success and a tribute to Brisbane HOG who year in, year out, ensure a seamless event. Our thanks to the pillions for their support, to Kiwanis, who provide breakfast on the day and to event sponsors Hogs Breath Café, Extend Technologies and QBE Insurance.
